Our Amazing Crew

At Monarch, our adult program is called the EMERGE program which stands for Embarking on Meaningful Employment and Real Growth in Everyday living. The learners here live with neurological differences which may include autism, intellectual and developmental disorder, attention deficit disorder, traumatic brain injury, and other similar social-cognitive deficits. The learners are ages 18 and up with a majority in their twenties.

Employment Enterprises at The Monarch School

At The Monarch School, we offer a range of enterprise employment opportunities for individuals with neurological differences. The enterprises include Culinary, Horticulture, Retail, Maker Space (woodworking), and Production (including jewelry and apparel). These initiatives provide places for learners to explore options while earning pay that is greater than minimum wage.

The Enterprises System at Monarch began out of a growing desire for our individuals to feel a sense of truly belonging within their community. We acknowledge that while some individuals excel in conventional competitive employment settings, others with neurological differences may require additional support structures. These individuals may benefit from a more structured environment, on-site job coaching, or an inclusive workplace where all staff are trained to work effectively with individuals possessing specific disabilities. Our commitment lies in fostering environments that cater to the unique requirements of each learner, ensuring their success and fulfillment within our programs.
